I've had similar clipboard problems under Mandrake (7.x, 8.x) and KDE
copying from xjed to a "konsole" shell window. I can copy into some
other applications like Netscape composer, the Sylpheed compose message
window, ... but not into many KDE apps. Interestingly whatever I try to
copy doesn't even show up in "klipper" the KDE clipboard tool.
