C-mode & color customization in FAQ

I want to change the default behavior of the c-mode, as well as
the colors, but I can't find how.

I see comments about defining a c_set_style_hook, but what should
it do?  Is there an example?  This would make a great FAQ!

The colors were more straight forward, but a simple FAQ
on that would be nice too.
