Argh! I looked at it and did not see it!
Sorry and thanks. All other occurances of
getbuf_info seem to be ok.
The current upload is already corrected.

Seems mysterious -- but I remember a discussion about automatic
corrections, something like a/b//c/d -->  /c/d .  Maybe this is related to
this?

For sure I have:
  ()= write_buffer( "testC:\\ks\\")
==
  ()= write_buffer( "C:\\ks\\test")
