So you have a kind of display of possible completions
directly in the buffer, right?
Surely not bad, although I already got accustomed to display
the possible completions either in the minibuffer or in a splitted
window. A small problem with your approach might be the
flooding of the undo-buffer. Maybe you can solve it
similar yank/pop...
There is only 1 undo for every cycle which begins with the first TAB and
ends
with message 'no more completions for...'
For the abreviations I think we have two ways: one strict way
(as I did), the keywords can be abbreviated as they are; PRO:
nothing new to learn beyond the inherent language stuff.
CON: some keywords cannot be abbreviated very efficent, because
there are similar other keywords. Or your way, the abbreviations
are more or less independent of the expanded keywords. PRO:
one may choose 'ergonomic' abbreviations. CON: one has to learn
additional (meta-)stuff.
It could be fixed with a list of possible templates. Maybe a 'Show
Templates' in the menu.
It would list all template tags with their descriptions (I am planning
to add them).
