hello John,
my family name is Gonzato, which is very similar to "gonzo" - in
Italian, "moron". As such, I caused a lot of fuss without realising that
the problems I experienced with jed/wjed on Windows were caused by a
simple fact. I did not install as administrator, which prevented wjed
from writing its stuff in win.ini.
That was all. I reinstalled on a couple of machines with administrator
rights, and opla - it works. (In the meantime, I managed to compile
slang and jed and found that nothing changed.)
