If you are seeing a SEGV, then there is a problem. Do you have
valgrind installed? If so, run jed using valgrind via:
valgrind --logfile=/tmp/vg.jed /path/to/jed args....
If you see a SEGV, the file /tmp/vg.jed.{pid} should show access
errors. You may need to compile both jed and slang with -g to enable
debugging information.
