I will look into it.  I can imagine what the problem might be.  Keep
in mind that Xjed does not support UTF-8 yet.

Right.  This will be fixed in the next slang release (tomorrow).

Is your po_mode available somewhere?

I use this: -misc-fixed-medium-r-*-*-*-200-*-*-*-*-iso10646-*
There is nothing I can do it a font lacks support for a particular
character.

Xjed and the windows versions of jed have no support for UTF-8 yet.  I
want to iron out any wrinkles using the xterm version yet before I
introduce new ones.
