Yes, I see this. But, to change to pdflatex-ing, I have to change two
command... and the default pdflatex "configuration" is ok to me. It
should be possible to switch to the pdflatex configuration directly, no?
Something like "^C o" then going over "pdflatex" and select it so that
the current buffer (or all buffers) will use the pdflatex commands.
In my old mixed mode :-) I was used to ^C o pdf / ^C o dvi to switch on
the fly the whole lot of commands...
