All,
there is a new version of apsmode on jedmodes available:
http://jedmodes.sourceforge.net/mode/apsmode/
Many thanks to Guenter Milde, who triggered most of the changes and did
also the upload to jedmodes for me.
Main changes:
- better integration into jed-libraries (esp. debian)
- reduced number of custom variables
- redefined position of print menu in popup menu
- more QuickPrint settings added
- QuickPrint menu shows now current settings in one view
- user printer settings can be handled either in
- apsmode.sl itself,
- jed.rc or
- in an (optional) separate aspconf.sl
- lot of variables renamed
Current users of apsmode should have a look at apsmode.hlp
for required changes in apsconf.sl (see also below).
(the structure of Apsmode_Printers[] did not change, only the
variable name)
Regards
Thomas

apsconf: Changes from V1.5 --> 2.2
----------------------------------
In apsmode V2.2 a lot of variable names have been changed.
Global variables are now named "Apsmode_<xyz>".
For existing apsconf.sl files the following variable name changes
have to be applied:
a2ps_cmd --> Apsmode_a2ps_cmd
aps_del_ps_file --> Apsmode_del_ps_file
aps_menu --> Apsmode_menu
aps_tmp_dir --> Apsmode_tmp_dir
aps_tmp_file --> Apsmode_tmp_file
default_printer --> Apsmode_default_printer
printer --> Apsmode_Printers
use_jed_a2ps_style_sheet --> Apsmode_style_sheet
printer[].setup --> Apsmode_Printers[].setupname
aps_pid --> setup
setup has to be a private variable in apsconf.sl (see apsconf.template)
