Yes, I like it. Really I do not type anything while waiting for the
compose to end, partly because the cursor is sloppy and flashing
madly... so that's not a concern to me. What is really annoying is the
fact I have to press a key to get past "application error"... message...
but I can live with it.

PS Can I abuse a bit? Do you now why, having  
     setkey("dabbrev",                  "^Z");
in my .jedrc, hitting ^Z gives me "Invalid UTF-8 encoded string" 
every time?
