By default, the mouse is not enabled in xterm.  You can enable it by
putting

   require ("mousex");

in your .jedrc file.  However, it does not (yet) provide support for
merging multiple button press/releases into double and triple click
events. That can be added but it has never been a priority for me.
Feel free to take that on.
