Thanks for the reply. Right now the file has no content really except one line:
IGNORE_BEEP = 0
If I try to put anything as per the manpage or as per John's replies
to customize jed to use C-h, M-f and M-b keys, the menu color becomes
khaki and the help line and mode line at the bottom is displayed as a
single purple text line. The keys C-x C-f or even C-x C-x does not
work.
This happened just now as soon as I added TAB_DEFAULT = 4 in the
.jedrc and restarted jed. I remove it, jed becomes normal with blue
menus and blue bottom line.
