Do you really mean "crash" or exit with a fatal error?

jed handles signals in a completely different way. I suspect that
you may have experienced the problem when another program, e.g., `git`
invoked jed. You hit Ctrl-G, which was sent to the foreground process
(git + jed), causing git to exit returning control to the shell.
0.99-19 puts jed into its own process group, so it should not have
this problem.
I would like to release 0.99-19 sometime in the next couple of weeks.
As far as I know, there are no show-stopper issues with it, and it is
superior to 0.99-18. If there are issues, then please let me know ASAP.
Thanks,
