[Jed-users-l] reserved key

In my library file I have key assignments like

definekey_reserved ("latex_help",              "i",  $1);

which defined "^Ci" to call latex help.

In my .jedrc I have assignments like

setkey("cb_copy_region_to_clipboard",         "^C^C"  );

In both cases ^C is used as a prefix key.


Does it matter which way the key assignment is made?  And where on earth in 
the library is ^C defined to be a reserved prefix key?  I can't find the 
assignment anywhere.
