On the Mac, 99.18.  On the linuxes 99.19 as furnished by the
distributions.

Yes!

The original Fedora /etc/hosts had two lines, the first and last here.
I added the middle two lines and now Jed and Xjed work like jet planes.

127.0.0.1               localhost.localdomain localhost
127.0.0.1               localhost
127.0.0.1               fedora15.kde
::1             localhost6.localdomain6 localhost6

Thanks, will do that.  Distributions these days are quite good a
pulling in dependencies and I have come to trust them.  No more!

BTW my problem with pymode.sl was fixed just by reinstalling jed from
the distribution.  Funny since I could see nothing wrong with
pymode.sl after a long time staring at it, and I have never fooled
with it.  Gremlin perhaps....
