Thanks, John, but the redraw function does not help. The LINES entry 
in the environment says 28 and jed is complying but it is only 
allowing 25 lines per screen. The status line and the minibuffer, i.e. 
lines 27 and 28, are not visible. The font Lat15-VGA14 is not affected.
