[jed-users] xjed: copy/paste only with huge, undefined delay

Hello,

on debian 9.8 I'm using its official  
  Jed Version: 0.99.19
  S-Lang Version: 2.3.1
and having problems with copy and paste. It seems it doesn't work,
until -- maybe after minutes -- the pasted text appears in the
destination window. Both directions (xjed to other applications,
other applications to xjed) are affected.  

Does anybody have a hint about what to do?
