[slang-users] Accessing slsmg and keyboard interface from slsh

Hello,
I am writing an IRC client using just pure S-Lang scripting. The issue
I'm experiencing is that any messages that arrive and get displayed on
the screen interfere with the message you have been writing. I could
use slgtk to work around this problem but I'd like to keep my program
text-only. This problem wouldn't exist if I was able to take greater
control of the screen and input, but slsmg and slkp don't seem to be
accessible from slsh, and I can't find any modules that would be
helpful.

While it is possible to separate the input and output, and then use an
external program like tmux to display them in a vertical split, I'd
rather have my IRC client not depend on that. This doesn't give as
much control over what is being displayed and is in general clunky.
