Most users of the S-Lang library use it in the context of an application that embeds the library, e.g., the jed editor or the slrn newsreader. Such programs may have their own mailing lists and it may make more sense to join the application-specific list. The slang-users mailing list is devoted to developers who make use of the S-Lang library in their own software. The slang-devel mailing list is for those who are interested in future directions of the library. The slang-interp list is reserved for general questions about on using the interpreter itself. Although the mailing list archives are publically available, posting to either list is limited to list members. Hence, if you want to post a message to one of these lists, then you have to join.
