Come to think of it,
1;
sprintf("%d");
gives a stack of
"%d"
1
whereas
sprintf("%d", 1)
gives
1
"%d"
so it's strange that it worked in 1.4.4
In my cal.sl I had
else vinsert ("%2d ", ());
the , () does nothing, it could have been
else vinsert ("%2d ");
I gather this should be either
else
{
day = ();
vinsert ("%2d ", day);
}
or
else insert (Sprintf("%2d ", exch, 1));
and Sprintf is the only way in RPN syntax?

Yes, but you probably don't have an old slang in /lib. I looked at how slsh
is compiled and added -Wl,-R/usr/lib to the LDFLAGS, that worked.
