Is tmexpand a successor to textmac.sl? I have found textmac.sl in an
old JED version, it seems to be a set of macros for writing linuxdoc
SGML. This is interesting, because linuxdoc can be converted to info
(though it doesn't work here).
I think JED should have two forms of documentation: short function
descriptions in the lib/jed/slangfuns.txt files, readable online in
hyperhelp, and extensive documentation in info format, also readable
online with info. Like Emacs. Both forms of documentation will have
to be written in parallel with the modes they describe, so there should
be an understanding of what format the documentation should be in.
Should we use tm?
