Where is the problem with _jed_run_hooks?

I would prefer that find_file calls the hooks. This is more generic.
And, while we take about hooks, I miss a return value of _jed_run_hooks.
How can see that one of the hooks performed the requested action
(UNTIL_0, UNTIL_NON_0)?
