Try, e.g., set_color ("menu", "color27", "color39");
I have no idea what the colors "color27" and "color39" actually
represent. You will have to set those as xterm resources. The xterm
man page states:
color16 (class Color16)
through
color255 (class Color255)
These specify the colors for the 256-color extension. The
default resource values are for colors 16 through 231 to make a
6x6x6 color cube, and colors 232 through 255 to make a
grayscale ramp.
