[jed-users] xjed, ubuntu 14.04 and keyboard input

Hi all,

on a new machine I installed ubuntu 14.04 (ubuntu 12.04 is on my
existing systems) but have problems with the xjed (0.99.19, slang
2.2.4) shipped with it. jed on the console seems to be ok (although
not all of my keybindings work), but xjed seems not to receive any
keyboard input. The drop down menu is usable using the mouse. 

Do you have any idea about what could be wrong or what to do in order
to debug it? The computer is next to useless without xjed...
