This is my use case for xjed: I heavily use keybindings that do not work
in the console (CUA-mode).

I empathize with you but cannot help. Xjed works here with one glitch:
screen updating for cursor movements is somehow delayed, so that the
cursor position on screen differs from the insertion/deletion point.
