Re: [jed-users] Manjaro AUR build failure

Oh, yes, I know. I was just pointing out the AUR package was hosed.

Today I looked for it and it wasn't there so I assume someone reading this list nuked it.

Just passing this along. Installed latest Manjaro Cinnamon on my HP
z820. (Yes, it is old, but with 20-core and 128GB of RAM it can do a
full from scratch Yocto build in under 3.5 hours.) Tried to install Jed
from AUR.

Since the mailing list will probably scrub the picture

"Failure while downloading
ftp://space.mit.edu/pub/davis/jed/v0.99/jed-0.99-19.tar.bz2";

I'm guessing, like most other place connected to the Internet they've
disabled ftp in favor if sftp or other more secure file transfer.

Just passing along. I don't know if anyone even maintains that AUR
package. Will try again in a few days on the outside chance
space.mit.edu just happened to be down for maintenance but ftp is
quickly becoming a thing of the past.
